Moving Africa : Rehema Nanfuka
Rehema Nanfuka is an award winning actress and writer. She has acted in internationally acclaimed films like the IMANI and THE PARDON. She was awarded the Best Actress award at the Festival de Cine Africano de Tarifa In Spain 2010 and the Most promising actress award at the African Movie Academy Awards, 2010 In Nigeria.Rehema has acted in several theatrical productions like Jean Paul Sartre's NO EXIT, Shakespeare’s MACBETH. She has acted in the controversial Ugandan gay play THE RIVER AND THE MOUNTAIN, written and directed the play “ORDINARY GIRLS WHO SNAPPED” and currently directing Ariel Dorfman’s DEATH AND THE MAIDEN.
She is also one of the pioneers of Street theater in Uganda.
